Job Description: CampusCare Assistant
To support the Campus Services portfolio through the delivery of operational services to the campus.
Specifically to undertake a wide range of day-to-day tasks such as cleaning, waste management, portering, mailroom, security, room set up, event support, traffic management, etc., and thereby achieve positive campus experiences for our staff and students.

Reports to:Supervisor – CampusCare
Key relationships:Internal: Campus Services staff, Service Desk staff, Other Staff and StudentsExternal: Contractors, External clients (e.g.
Events)AccountabilitiesServicing the Operational needs of the campusSupport the delivery of functions including security, emergency wardens, cleaning, waste disposal, recycling, mail sorting & delivery, logistical support, pest control, and event support.Work closely with internal staff and contractors to deliver Campus Services outcomes.Contribute to campus sustainability through recycling activities and monitoring energy use.Customer ServiceProvide effective and efficient service to all Massey University users, ensuring safety and security.Proactively assist users with information regarding locations, minor vehicle issues, etc.Events SupportAssist with university events and conferences, including setting up and dismantling for major functions.Provide support through security and traffic management services.Health & SafetyComply with all relevant legislation and University Health and Safety policy.Contribute to emergency management preparedness and support the campus Incident Management Team.Physical PatrolsComplete regular patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment for all campus users.Document and record incidents as required.Parking and Road InfrastructureAssist with road signage, maintenance of parking devices, and road marking services.LocksmithingCutting and allocation of keys, maintenance, and repairs as directed.Qualifications and ExperienceCurrent full car Class 1 driver's licence; HT licence desirable.1 - 2 years of experience in facilities management desirable.Capabilities - BehaviourCommunicationConduct discussions respectfully; listen and summarize carefully.Work with integrity, maintaining positive relationships with customers.Interpersonal SkillsEstablish productive working relationships with stakeholders.Continuous TransformationAdjust to changes in the business environment; seek to grow and develop.Pre-employment checksPass a Criminal and Traffic Convictions (Security) Check performed by the Ministry of Justice.
