Day shift (7am-7pm) Permanent or Night shift (7pm - 7am) Permanent, four on four off shift pattern Permanent positions starting January 2025 Generous annual leave provisions and professional development opportunities Au Mahi | What You Will Do As a Campus Patrol Officer at the University of Canterbury (UC) you will be responsible for: Providing and contributing to the security for staff, students and visitors on university campuses Providing escort services and patrol duties Remaining alert to emergency situations and providing first-line responses. You will work a day shift (7am - 7pm) Permanent or a night shift (7pm-7am) Permanent, in a four-on-four off shift pattern across our two Ilam campuses. As you will be mostly working alone, it's important that you think on your feet and have the confidence in emergency situations. You are outgoing and are comfortable interacting with a diverse range of people and have at least 2-3 years' experience in security and some customer service experience. You will also have: A current First Aid Certificate or are willing to undertake training Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise Good computer skills, particularly with MS Office Adaptability and ability to learn new systems An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. UC is made up of approximately 150 buildings across 87 hectares, covering a gross floor area of 223,000m 2 . The UC Security team provides a comprehensive 24-hour, 7 day a week security service across the UC campuses.
