Work with a hand-selected and battle-tested team in our cafe & restaurant eatery located on the glacial canals of Canterbury / North Otago.

Our new CAFE MANAGER will work directly with Gary, our Director of Food & Beverage, to lead and support our DAY & EVENING DINING Team of 12 so we can positively impact the lives of another 200,000 customers annually while loving what we get to do!
WHAT YOU WILL LOVE TO DO… You will work arm-in-arm with Malcolm, our HEAD CHEF , to support our kitchen Teams so they can do their BEST and most productive work.
You will lead, organise and keep our cafe & restaurant processes on track and constantly evolving.
You will keep our cafe & restaurant organised and well-maintained, so team members feel part of a cohesive team.
You will increase the engagement and fulfilment of our team by helping them develop and grow through culture-building initiatives.
You will lead and coordinate daily logistical details to support food & beverage delivery and service standards including beverage menu planning, and beverage development.
You will create special moments of WOW for our teams and customers by playing an important role in leading the team and customer recognition.
You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders via email, telephone and verbal processes with professional integrity.
You will thrive on having a unique mix of recurring tasks, KPIs and special projects that add variety to your job role.
You will help create and plan our team's personal and professional growth focuses.
You will be responsible for company purchases and subscriptions and reducing these company costs when they're no longer fully utilised.

You have 3+ years of experience in cafe & restaurant leadership roles with an interest in 'people operations' work.
