This large New Zealand manufacturer is seeking a skilled CAD draftsperson to join their dynamic team.
Their commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation has made them a trusted partner for projects of all sizes and complexity.Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, as CAD draftsperson, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of façade projects.
You will ideally be a detail-oriented professional with strong 2D and 3D drafting skills within the New Zealand Building Code.
You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to develop accurate and detailed drawings that guide the process.Role:Collaborate with teams and engineers to ensure accuracy and interpret design intent.Conduct site visits for data collection and create/revise technical drawings as needed.Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and specifications.Coordinate with project managers and construction teams for effective plan implementation.Assist with project documentation and provide technical support.Maintain an organized archive of project drawings and documents.Skills and experience:Qualification in CAD drafting, engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD and drafting tools within the New Zealand Building Code.At least 5 years' experience in drafting, preferably in façade remediation or installation.Strong understanding of building construction, materials, and façade systems.Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.Strong communication skills, team collaboration, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.Experience in 3D modeling software is a plus.Knowledge of sustainable building practices and materials.Salary and benefits for this position are highly competitive.
