Service Foods Christchurch Butchery Team seeks a committed and enthusiastic Butchery packer to join their early morning shift.
As a Butchery Packer, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. You will work closely with our skilled butchers and support our commitment to providing the finest meat products to our customers.
Full-time, permanent
Immediate position
Location: Woolston, Christchurch
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Shift timings: 3.30 am to 12.00 pm (approx.)
The job:
Your primary responsibilities will include accurately packaging and preparing meat products, ensuring they meet our stringent quality standards.
Some of the key tasks are:
Packing and labelling meat products with precision and care.
Ensuring that all products are packaged according to quality and safety standards.
Operate vac pack, other equipment and machinery to wrap meat
Organizing and preparing orders for timely delivery to customers.
Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
Preparation of meat products as and when required (full training provided)
Following all Food Safety and Health and Safety processes to a high standard
Assist with general butchery and other operational duties
The person:
Our ideal candidate will possess some previous experience in a meat processing/packing role or related food industry experience.
The skills and attributes needed:
An ability to follow instructions and to work under pressure
Good level of physical fitness and be able to lift up to 20 kgs.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong work ethic and a focus on safety and cleanliness.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Be Comfortable to work in a cold environment
Reliable transport to work and willingness to learn
Be flexible in the role and take on additional tasks as required
