The hours and days for this Butchery Manager position are:
Sunday & Monday 0500-1600, Tuesday 0600-1430 & Wednesday 0700-1100
In this hands-on role, a day in the life could look like:
Cutting, trimming and packaging meat products as well as using different machinery
Interacting with customers helping them choose the best cuts of meat for their needs
Maintaining great presentation for the Butchery department
Sharing your knowledge by training and developing team members including apprentices
Championing Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment for customers, staff and contractors
In this role we are looking for our new Butchery Manager to have:
Previous experience in people leadership in the Meat Industry
Previous experience with rostering, stock management and ordering
A willingness for early starts and to work on your feet for most of your shift
Strong communication skills and effectively interact with customers and team members
Regular lifting up to 15kgs, bending, reaching and repetitive movements
