Description Great opportunity to join a well-established company and leader in the Meatworks industry.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Moving carcasses to freezers and chillers
Packing and loading meat
Meat processing, cutting, trimming, deboning, grinding, mincing, and shaping
Completing quality checks as required and following production guidelines and specifications
Shape, lace, and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer, and tine
Operating machines to mince, grind, and tenderize meat
Washing down processing rooms
Working as a team to meet production targets
Creating or acquiring labels for each packet by ensuring that type, date of expiry, and weight are mentioned
Maintaining machinery and other equipment such as knives
Performing other processing tasks as assigned.
Other butcher tasks as required
Requirements: Minimum 2 years Butchery experience or equivalent of a NZ Cert in Meat Processing
Able to work with Lamb and Beef
Team Player
Physically Fit
Ability to work on your feet and conduct repetitive movements
Rate: $27.00 to $29.00
Hours: Full week, 40 or more hours per week.
Must have open working rights in New Zealand. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
