Tenei turanga - About the Role:
The Business Systems Analyst assists in maintaining and enhancing the IT systems used by the New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) and other government agencies. You will support the Senior and Principal Business Systems Analysts in providing internal and external training on IT systems, developing enhancements, and supporting our customers, while identifying opportunities where NZGP can provide additional value for agencies.
The Business Systems Analyst understands the value that efficient and effective IT systems and analysis brings to an organisation and the importance of keeping systems performing well while ensuring data integrity. Additionally, they support the Senior Product Managers and Manager Business Systems in delivering the NZGP branch business plan.
The successful candidate will provide advice which ensures that IT systems and tools NZGP uses are appropriate and meet both NZGP and government agency needs.

We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills and an amazing client focus where you can understand and manage expectations of our stakeholders. You will have experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders, suppliers, and team managers.
Additionally, we are looking for someone who has:
Technical expertise in some of the following areas:
Microsoft Dynamics
CRM
Web support and design and understanding of the CWP and/or Moodle environment
Microsoft Office suite of programmes
Detailed understanding of related MBIE systems, and MBIE IT practices and protocols
System testing
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and to recommend solutions
Experience in executing developed test plans to ensure desired results are achieved; support testing such as user acceptance, performance, security, and usability
Experience in developing, analysing, and maintaining new or current system processes, guidelines and workflows; knowledge of agile or iterative development processes and/or change management
Experience providing system training to end-users and working with end users to diagnose and resolve system incidents
