The Role ALS Environmental NZ is poised for growth and requires a motivated and collaborative Business Development Officer to play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the environmental and asbestos testing market.
You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the business to achieve our targets.
Based in either Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch or Wellington you will need to be able to work autonomously and be very driven.
The role will see you travel throughout NZ a few times a month to seek new business opportunities and maintain key relationships.
You will also have the opportunity to work flexibility on an as needs basis.
The day to day Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies including target markets, corporate relationships, and pricing.
Identify and develop new business with clients throughout New Zealand.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to establish ALS as the laboratory testing partner of choice within New Zealand.
Develop new and foster existing client relationships and business opportunities in traditional and emerging markets.
Customer Services duties include the preparation of quotations and answering client queries.
Assisting the Client Services Manager in the preparation of tenders, technical bulletins and marketing literature.
Ensure the delivery of a positive experience to ALS's client base.
The essentials Demonstrated business development experience (minimum 2 years) Experienced in marketing, sales and identification of new business opportunities.
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
Strong communications, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Business development experience in the Environmental or commercial laboratory field is desirable.
