It is a very exciting time to join W+K's BDM team in New Zealand.
With the arrival of a new BD & Marketing Manager and the firm's rapid growth over the last few years, we are on the lookout for a BD & Marketing Coordinator to join us in a fixed-term capacity for 12 months whilst an existing team member pursues full-time study.The BDM Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the firm's strategy to help drive business growth and build W+K brand awareness by clients at both a firm wide and practice group level.
This is a generalist role, encompassing all aspects of business development and marketing.You will be part of a hardworking, collaborative, and fun team that values ideas and proactivity.
You will be recognised for your drive, organisational skills, and ability to multi-task to deliver exceptional digital content and client experiences all whilst helping to build the W+K brand in the legal and insurance industry.

This is a fantastic role offering excellent career prospects and genuine work/life balance for the right candidate.Key tasksBusiness DevelopmentProvide support with the development and implementation of BD initiatives identified in product line and client plans.Supports the development of tenders, bids, pitches, capability statements and fee proposals.Creates value add and metric reporting for key clients.Maintains up to date profiles/CVs for lawyers.Undertakes ad hoc research as requested by the BDM team.Helps to manage contacts and tracking activities in the CRM database and encouraging active use of by lawyers and secretaries across the firm.Supports the BD & Marketing Manager in training lawyers on BD planning and personal branding.MarketingCreate quality and engaging digital content (videos and photography) in multiple formats, across various channels.Coordinate CRM technology solutions, including managing the client database, set-up, tracking and management of email campaigns and contact lists in our CRM system, and helping with all testing, sending and monitoring of view/bounce rates of all client communications.Product marketing collateral including contact cards, presentations, event flyers and team guides using PowerPoint and other Microsoft software, Adobe Editor, and Foleon.Create and update content on the firm's website (lawyers' professional web profiles), social media channels, client portals and intranet (this may include learning website back-end and SEO).End to end event management of a variety of events from seminars, boardroom, networking events, and webinars including creating invite lists, eDMs, room set-up, catering, managing the event on the day Key events include Tennis Day, Cricket Day, Cocktail Party, client entertainment events and our staff Hui.Assist and coordinate the scheduling and comms for the firm's external CLE programme and our internal newsletter.Support the development and publication of the firm articles and publications, including the flagship NZ Insurance Market Trends report.Manage the firm's sponsorships including Dive In, NZILA, and other sponsorship opportunities, specific to the insurance industry.Support our People & Culture Manager with attracting law graduates to W+K.Coordinate the firm's submissions for awards and recognitions (NZ Lawyer, NZ Law Awards, ANZIIF Insurance Awards, etc.
), and legal directories (Legal 500, Chambers).Assist with administrative tasks required by the BDM team, including invoice payments, managing merchandise and client gift requests and cost control of the BDM budget.Qualifications/ExperienceTertiary qualification in marketing or business with at least two years' experience in a marketing or similar role.Professional services or relevant B2B experience in a corporate environment is highly desirable.Basic experience in video production, podcasting, or multimedia content creation is critical.Proficiency in digital marketing software and tools e.g.
social media, CRM, website, email marketing.Ability to create compelling content for various channels including newsletters, promotional materials, capability statements, and presentations etc.
