About The Role As a Business Development Manager at Clevertronics, you will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy, building and nurturing customer relationships, and expanding accounts within our Wholesale and Contractor Market Segments. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact and join a team that values creativity, collaboration, and results. In this role, you will be a key player in the Sales team, implementing long-term strategic initiatives, engaging with the market, and promoting the Clevertronics brand to increase our market share. Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to: Develop and evolve growth strategies for wholesale and contractor channels. Add value through application solutions and cost-benefit analysis. Understand the value for contractors and wholesalers. Maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors and wholesale branches. Tailor solutions to meet the needs of contractors and wholesalers. Drive new business development, mainly targeting electrical contractors and wholesale outlets. Occasionally engage with end users, architects, and fire engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful project delivery. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals. Negotiate contracts and agreements aligned with company objectives. Stay updated with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. Provide regular reporting and analysis of business development activities. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the Clevertronics team. Provide market feedback to the sales and marketing team to assist in closing sales or creating promotions. Offer educational opportunities to wholesalers, contractors, and key branch personnel on Clevertronics products and technical information. Attend company and client functions, occasionally requiring out-of-hours participation. Skills And Experience At least 5 years experience in a similar role within Electrical, Wholesale, Construction, or other technical industry. Electrical industry experience related to either a technical or commercial level. (Preferred but not essential) Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships. Strategic thinker with the ability to multi-task, identify growth opportunities, manage projects, and develop actionable plans. Results-orientated mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent organisation, presentation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. Current valid driver's license.
