What's the job?
InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial and coatings and infrastructure. The BD Specialist is responsible for ensuring long term growth and profitability of the region by identifying and developing relationships with key strategic clients. This role will identify, develop, and convert business opportunities, while providing leadership and support to Branch managers through execution.
What's the role
Reporting to the Regional Manager for waste, this role will be accountable for:
Identifying strategic initiatives to drive growth in the business
Converting strategic planning opportunities into tangible results
In addition, you will be responsible for:
Researching and evaluating new markets for potential financial opportunities
Working closely with the operational team and providing support when required
Ensuring alignment of pricing strategies with the business strategy
Implementing client development plans for growth
Reporting fortnightly on the forecasted utilisation of key equipment

The technical requirements:
Robust knowledge of contract/project management
Sales/marketing experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in a waste industry-related sales role
Solid understanding of target market segments
