Te Momo Turanga | Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Te Wahi |Where: Auckland or Wellington Te Whiwhinga Mahi| The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to play a key role in growing our success as part of the New Business and Growth Team.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will drive profitable growth for Chorus as you engage and acquire new business through assisted selling within target verticals and partnerships.
You will work mainly autonomously (but part of a collaborative team) and you will use your extensive experience and networks to build a solid sales engagement programme targeting C-Suite to middle management within the Public and Enterprise sectors from pre-sales identification, qualification, and relationship management with a view to create a high value pipeline of business to meet targets.
Your day to day would include: Identifying and building an engagement strategy for new growth enterprise products Tracking and managing a lead pipeline for customer opportunities Working with the internal teams to deliver quotes and proposals to clients with indicative deliverable scoping, sizing and pricing Collaborating with cross-functional groups (Retail Service Provider Account Teams, product management, operations, marketing) Using Chorus's strategic selling tools, lead and close large/complex customer opportunities in conjunction with the wider Chorus business Owning key relationships with channel partners and customers (non RSPs) O Wheako, o Pukenga | Your Experience We are looking for someone who has extensive experience with solution selling, including promoting a number of adjacent products and services as an integrated customer solution.
Qualities and experience we're looking for include: A proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets Demonstrated ability to win new accounts and identify and convert high value deals An engaged team player with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Ability to set priorities and stay focused in a dynamic and changing environment Excellent financial and commercial acumen Strong business writing and presentation skills Knowledge of the New Zealand business market Extensive senior relationships with relevant technology channel partners and customers would be advantageous Mo matou | About us It's all about our culture, our people say it's one of the best around.
