Based in Hastings, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment where excellence is rewarded, and expectations are surpassed.The RoleWe are looking for a motivated and proactive Business Development Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing, this role is perfect for someone with experience in the trades, building, or related industries who is eager to transition into a customer-focused position. Your primary responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring our customers receive the best service in the industry.Your responsibilities will include:Promoting and selling all HSM's services including Monitoring, Guarding, Security Installations, Fire Protection and Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF)/Compliance.Establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with strategic contacts to attract new opportunities and enhance the HSM brand.Serving as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, addressing enquiries, issues, and proactively identifying solutions and opportunities.Organising meetings, presentations, and networking events to engage with contacts and explore business opportunities.Identifying client requirements and aligning HSM solutions to meet their needs.Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and prompt issue resolution.Providing regular sales reporting and assisting with quotation and tender preparation.Conducting market research to identify new business prospects.Supporting telephone and email enquiries and efficiently managing order handovers to the installation team.Maintaining records of all client interactions and activities.What we offerA competitive salary package with a performance-based commission structure.A company car with fuel card.Company laptop, phone and unlimited data phone plan.What we're looking for?Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Highly motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and a focus on achieving measurable results.A passion for customer service and relationship building.A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Previous trade experience or strong connections within the trade industry or property management industry.Knowledge of fire and security systems, or a background in the building industry, is advantageous but not essential.Proficiency in using CRM tools (such as HubSpot) to manage customer information, track sales activities, and generate reports.LocationThe position is based in our Hastings office, serving the wider Hawke's Bay region and throughout New Zealand if a significant opportunity arises.Hours of WorkThis is a full-time role with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.If you possess the required skills and are seeking an opportunity within a dynamic and successful company, please submit your CV to Bryce Mitchell at ******.
