Business Development Manager

We're on the lookout for a full-time Business Development Manager to join our team at Optic Security Group. Based in Auckland, this role will see you supporting the growth of the Optic Security Group throughout New Zealand, increasing our customer base and meeting KPIs along the way. It will focus on creating new sales opportunities through the cultivation of relationships in key sectors and pursuing existing opportunities in the market.
Casting your net far and wide, you will travel throughout the Auckland region and potentially further afield as opportunities arise, visiting existing, new and potential clients. Skilled at winning new opportunities, you will be tasked with proactively finding and offering solutions for clients.
Responsibilities Include: Developing an extensive network of prospects and clients within key sectors and wider regions to achieve KPIs.
Leverage existing relationships to create new opportunities.
Prepare tender submissions in all aspects from system design, cost estimation and proposal.
Develop a deep knowledge of planned projects and opportunities, maintaining it in the CRM.
Assist in the preparation of competitor product and service comparisons for internal use.

Knowledge of either electronic security solutions, AV or be from an electrical background.
Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to turn technical speak into laymen's terms.
A driven attitude to seek out development opportunities, by delivering strong solution-based proposals that meet the needs of our customers.
The ability to learn, be agile, think on your feet and proactively offer solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
Able to handle a variety of tasks with a high level of attention to detail.
