The Role : This outbound role in their hire division focuses on increasing hire revenue by acquiring new customers, breaking into new markets, and boosting spend with existing clients in the civil construction industry. Based in Pukekohe, your week will include outbound calls, site visits, and face-to-face meetings across Auckland. This senior sales position requires a solid understanding of business principles and a proven track record in securing new business and maintaining a strong pipeline.Key Responsibilities : Business Development : Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation. Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Sales Strategy : Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. Product Knowledge : Stay up-to-date with our product offerings and industry trends to effectively communicate the value of our solutions to clients. Market Analysis : Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats. Contract Negotiation : Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. What you need to succeed Proven track record in business development and sales. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Tech savvy : proficient with CRM and MS suite. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets. Practical aptitude with a hunter Mindset. Not afraid to pick up the phone and cold call' Understanding of machinery and / or the civil construction industry (preferred).
