Full time My client is a major supplier in the building industry based out of the South Island with strong existing relationships, excellent supply chains, and a penchant for securing top talent.
Offering a range of their own products, branded products, and systems including decking, landscaping solutions, and cladding, there is an opportunity for an experienced salesperson to step in and take complete ownership of the Auckland market.
A proven history of building the capability of their staff internally and retaining them long-term is what separates them as an employer.

Key insights into the role: Taking full ownership of the Auckland market, you will lead and shape the growth of sales to ensure they are the outdoor supplier of choice and focus on expanding sales.
Business development activities will be strategic in nature.
You will manage both key existing relationships and new.
Your client base must consist of predominantly builders, construction companies, and landscape contractors.
Travel regionally as required.
Manufacturing is based out of Christchurch.
Execute sales activity to ensure sales and margin budgets for the period are achieved.
Monthly reporting to the Managing Director covering all aspects of accountability.
About you: An incredibly diverse and autonomous role; you must be able to work unsupervised and hold yourself accountable with manufacturing and senior leadership based out of Christchurch.
You must have experience working in the building envelope and bring with you existing customer relationships.
This is non-negotiable.
Your client base will consist of predominantly builders, construction companies, and landscape contractors.
You are based in Auckland.
A high percentage of your time will be spent out with customers negotiating and liaising with many different stakeholders.
There is a shared site based in Penrose where a Sales Support is based.
You are financially savvy and have a clear understanding of both sales and margins and can clearly understand how your territory is evolving based on results.
You are reliable, self-driven, and have a strong work ethic to report into a South Island business.
