This robust hotel offers consistency and efficiency for large groups with generous vibrant Vivant restaurant dining spaces, offering a big buffet breakfast, and a la carte lunch and dinner.Job DescriptionAs Business Development Manager – Groups and Events, reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will focus on driving sales for Groups and Events across Banquets, Business, Leisure, Sport, and Entertainment for Economy, Midscale, and Premium hotels in Wellington. You'll collaborate with the Sales & Revenue teams to generate leads, ensure conversions, and implement strategic sales plans, whilst working closely with the Conference Executive on event delivery.Proactively acquire group and event revenue, ensuring optimal distribution and achieving conversion targets set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.Assess sales performance and collaborate with the commercial team to adjust sell strategies for improved profitability and conversion.Generate leads and support event contract provisions alongside the Conference Executive for Mövenpick and Novotel Wellington.Utilize data insights to drive outcomes, record proactive calls, and manage the Groups and Events pipeline via Accor's CRM.Build and maintain trusted relationships with Leisure Group clients and destination partners while promoting Accor's channels and services.Respond to group RFPs, prepare personalized sales proposals, and follow up on all group opportunities, ensuring accurate communication and maximizing event value.Qualifications3 years+ of hotel industry experience in a Sales environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Opera (or similar systems), and CRMs like Salesforce, with strong organizational and time management skills.Self-motivated, target-driven, with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities; a team player who thrives in a goal-oriented environment.Additional informationLearn your Way - Access to our Accor Academy so you can Earn while you Learn!Work Your Way - Flexibility to ensure a work life balance!Access to our Employee Assistance ProgramOur commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company, and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
