Who We Are Looking For: Pharmaron are looking to add a Business Development Director / Senior Director to support our growing Drug Product Development and our co-located and integrated API and product services offering.
Within this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable business relations with partners, promoting Pharmaron as the CDMO of choice to prospective clients and enhancing on-going business relationships.
Business Development is a significant role within our organization.
You will regularly communicate with scientific leaders within our target customers.
You must have experience and understand the requirements and challenges of drug product and formulation development.
Key Responsibilities: Achieve agreed-upon sales and profit targets, driving business growth and profitability.Cultivate, manage, and maintain professional relationships with clients, with particular emphasis on their senior management teams.Stay informed about Pharmaron's capabilities and services to engage in informed discussions with clients and prospective clients about our offerings.Work closely with Pharmaron scientists to ensure that client expectations are realistic and achievable, thus ensuring customer satisfaction.Identify cross-selling opportunities in collaboration with other Business Development team members, capturing new areas for business growth.Contribute to the development of a compelling Value Proposition, making Pharmaron an attractive choice for clients.Represent the company professionally, promoting Pharmaron as a reliable partner capable of delivering high-quality solutions, converting inquiries into profitable contracts.Collaborate with Pharmaron scientists to formulate business proposals and presentations, ensuring that these proposals can be converted into profitable commercial contracts.Identify and utilize sources of information that provide insightful market intelligence within the pharmaceutical industry, sharing this information internally to support strategic decision making.Support and mentor the broader Business Development team through contribution on special projects as and when required. Requirements: A degree in Chemistry or related field from a reputable university (PhD strongly preferred).Post-qualification experience in a scientific lab environment within the industry.Multi-year experience in a business development role within the Drug Product Development sector is essential.Technically creditable with Drug Product Development - Oral Solid Dose (OSD).Technical understanding and knowledge of drug product development particularly early phase development.A deep understanding of the CDMO and Pharmaceutical market and environment.Strong presentation skills understanding message communication for specific audiences.Financial, costing and numerical skills.Ability to influence and negotiate successfully.Customer focused with the ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team effectively.Result oriented and highly self-motivated showing resilience and resourcefulness.Flexible and adaptable mindset, with the ability to respond to change quickly and effectively.Our Benefits: Salary of $150,000-$200,000 plus target based annual bonus.Comprehensive insurance package including Medical, Dental & Vision with significant employer contributions.Employer-funded Health Reimbursement Account.Healthcare & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts.100% Employer-paid Employee Life and AD&D Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance.401k plan with generous employer match.Access to an Employee Assistance Program.About Pharmaron: Pharmaron is a premier R&D service provider for the life sciences industry.
