We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Building Facilities Manager to support Ministry property needs and requirements across our courts and wider property portfolio in the Auckland CBD.
Responsibilities:Manage contracts and relationships with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring services are delivered on time and to standard.Assist with two major ongoing projects at the Auckland District court, providing support to Project Managers as required.Provide regular reports to management on the condition and performance of the buildings in the portfolio, including recommendations for improvements and long-term planning.Support the Senior Facilities Manager in their daily operations, carrying out tasks as required.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including judiciary, to ensure alignment with Ministry objectives.To be successful in the role you will have:
Qualifications:Proven experience in facilities or property management, preferably within the public sector or a large multi-site organisation.Outstanding planning and organisational skills, with demonstrated experience in planned preventative maintenance programmes.A subject matter expert in a technical field such as construction, HVAC, MEP or FLS.Experience in contract management preferably in the construction, asset renewal or property management field.Commercial acumen and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, with outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.A full New Zealand drivers licence.An understanding and appreciation of cultural issues and concerns in particular Tikanga Maori.At Te Tahu o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to strengthening people's trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $83,562 and $116,273 based on skills and experience.
