The opportunity
As a valued member of our team, you will work with our customers to ensure Council's compliance with the Building Act 2004. Your focus will be Onsite Building Warrant of Fitness audits, investigation of unconsented building work and the monitoring of councils residential swimming pool barrier register and inspection schedule.
To set you up for success, you'll have:
At least 3 years compliance or enforcement experience.
A thorough knowledge of the NZ Building Code, Building Regulations and the Building Act 2004.
Knowledge of legal processes and legislation including the Summary Proceedings Act.
Experience with preparing Building Act enforcement notices.
Sound knowledge of building construction.
Sound computer skills.
A current driver's licence.
