About the role This role focuses on building a strong team, driving sales, and ensuring efficient operations to deliver profit expectations.
You will lead the designated GPC Branch, working closely with Sales Teams and Customers, while reporting to the GPC Area Manager.
This is largely a people and sales-focused role, managing all operational elements of the branch to ensure best practices.
The purpose of the role is to lead, engage, inspire, and align team members to ensure the effective implementation of key business initiatives and the timely and consistent delivery of all operational processes, requirements, set tasks, and the highest levels of Genuine Service standards for our customers.
Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring smooth functioning, exceptional customer service, and the sale of products.
Develop and implement strategies to maximise sales and profitability, including setting sales targets, analysing sales data, budgeting, and identifying areas for improvement.
Train, mentor, and motivate retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales goals.
Manage inventory levels, replenishment, merchandising, and financial transactions to optimise product availability and presentation.
Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans such as purchasing and marketing policies, promoting and advertising goods, and setting prices.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats.
Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes Required A relevant qualification of level 7 diploma or relevant industry experience for 2 years trained in the automotive sector.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of sales and customer service principles.
Ability to analyse sales data and implement effective strategies.
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques.
Familiarity with automotive parts and accessories is an advantage.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
Ability to work on feet for extended periods, sit at a desk or in a vehicle, and physical capacity to lift up to 25kg (male) and 16kg (female).
Pay and Benefits Full-time permanent employment.
Minimum of 42.50 hours/week guaranteed.
Pay rate ranges between $29.66-$32/hour.
