Management - Store (Retail & Consumer Products)Hireace and Bargain Rentals is a reputable, New Zealand-owned business with fourteen branches nationwide, stretching from Auckland to Christchurch. Hireace focuses on commercial vehicle and trailer hire, while Bargain Rentals specializes in car hire services.We have a great opportunity for an experienced Manager to join our Team and run our Branch in Hornby.The RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Branch and support the in-house Workshop. You will have the responsibility for all Branch operations, fleet management, maintenance, budgets, and staffing. You will strive to achieve business growth, demonstrate exceptional customer focus and be a key point of contact for customers, team members, and Head Office.This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to roll your sleeves up to get the job done. This role is not for the person that wants a desk job! You will have to help in grooming, moving vehicles, and be at the front desk serving customers. If this is not for you, don't apply.Specific DutiesEnsure that levels of customer service exceed their expectations in a way that is superior to that of our competitors.Build strong relationships with customers to ensure continued market leadership.Create a supportive and motivating environment for your team to learn and develop their skills and knowledge, whilst clearly understanding their role and accountabilities.Maintain a level of branch standards that adhere to company expectations and procedures.Create rosters and manage wage costs.Maintain - exceed KPI's set by Head Office.Carry out weekly site audits of branch and vehicles.Ensure vehicles are road worthy and manage all maintenance costs.Ensure staff adheres to the occupational health and safety regulations.Manage collection and drop off for customers to the airport.Skills and Experience RequiredExperience within the car rental industry.Previous experience in a management role within the customer service industry.Exceptional problem solving and initiative.Professional communication skills.A friendly and positive can-do attitude.Well groomed with excellent hygiene.Experience in people management in a diverse industry.Strong knowledge in Health & Safety.Full, clean NZ Drivers Licence - must be able to drive a manual vehicle.Hours of WorkTo cover a 7 day operation you will be expected to work 50 hours, 5 days per week including one day of the weekend.Full training and support given to successful applicants.A legal right to work in New Zealand is a must. We will only consider applications from candidates with valid work visas that would allow you to work in this role or New Zealand citizenship or residence.Must be able to drive a manual and experience in small trucks and trailers is an advantage.Must have a clean criminal record and have no history of dishonesty.
