We are excited to announce a job vacancy for the position of Branch Manager for our store in Ashburton. Aligned with the Managing Director and working closely with the Category and Retail Operations Manager, you as the Branch Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the operations and growth of our store. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team and contribute to the success of the business. Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience of managing all aspects of the branch's daily operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision.
Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and achieve targets.
Ensure the store maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
Recruit, train, lead, and motivate a team of employees to deliver exceptional customer service and branch goals.
Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and the local community.
Drive exceptional levels of service provided to customers.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements:
Well-developed experience in the construction and building industry.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Excellent people management skills with a good understanding of HR and health and safety.
The ability to establish relationships and further business development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate, inspire, and empower a team for success and to achieve goals.
Strong business acumen and understanding of retail operations.
Proven track record in driving sales and achieving targets.
Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience in the Fasteners / Service industry would be an advantage although not essential.
