CCS Disability Action is the largest pan-disability support and advocacy organisation in New Zealand. We have been working with disabled people / whanau haua and their families since 1935 and are at the forefront of service provision, advocacy and information sharing New Zealand-wide.
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day)

Experience in the disability sector is preferred but not essential.

Job Specific Information: This role maintains a high standard of reception service and administrative support that ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the Nelson office and supports the Blenheim office as required. This includes supporting our Service staff to coordinate and provide responsive supports for disabled people we support.

About the Role: Provide a friendly, courteous, welcoming and helpful reception service to anyone who comes to the office.
Provide information, advice and/or complete Total Mobility Assessments / Mobility Parking Permits Applications in a courteous manner.
Input data, maintain and produce information as required from our databases.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Service Manager and Service Co-ordinators at a consistently high level that maintains the smooth running of the office.
Maintain a high standard of professional and organisational behaviour and practice.
Attend, participate in and seek training/professional development opportunities (including internal and external supervision).
Support and maintain effective teamwork.
Work in ways which are consistent with the Treaty of Waitangi.
Undertake other such duties/tasks as allocated by the Service Manager.

Team player who establishes good rapport with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Office-related experience or training.
Understanding of the disability sector and ability to relate to people with disabilities in a positive affirming manner.
Experience in the day-to-day running of a busy office.
Customer service focus.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Intermediate level of knowledge of databases and office IT systems including PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel and Outlook.
Systems and process focused.
Accurate and quick typing and data entry skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks and work within short deadlines/timeframes.
Willing to learn new skills and take on challenges.
