About the RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a Booking Clerk to join the Oncology Service (80 hours per fortnight).
Hours of work are 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
The Booking Clerk role is essential in assisting with the smooth running of the cancer outpatient services.
The role includes: Booking outpatient AppointmentsAttending and departing patientsCommunication with staff, patients and their familiesTelephone enquiries and general reception dutiesOrganisation and distribution of patient documentationMaintaining accurate computer records.
About the TeamThe Waikato Regional Cancer Centre is located in the metropolis of Hamilton, New Zealand.
This unit serves a population of 550,000, has a staff of approximately 120 and comprises of an Oncology Department which includes Radiation Therapy and Chemotherapy outpatient treatment areas, an Inpatient Ward, Palliative Care Service and a Haematology Outpatient Department.
About youWe are looking for someone who is: Organised, efficient and able to prioritise their workload effectively;Exceptional at customer service via the telephone with excellent interpersonal skills.Detail oriented;Computer literate;Familiar with medical terminology;A positive team member.
Ideally you will be skilled in general office administration, have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the health sector, and have excellent computer and typing skills.
