Board Appointments (CEO & General Management)Our vision is for every young person in Aotearoa to have the tools to overcome challenges, improve their wellbeing and live a meaningful life. The Kindness Institute (TKI) exists to empower rangatahi (youth) in Aotearoa, to support wellbeing, through movement and mindfulness, community and leadership. We strive to create equity in wellbeing through our mahi that is grounded in te ao Maori and focuses on long-lasting change within the communities we serve. This is an opportunity for an individual who is passionate about TKI's kaupapa and developing our organisation. The Board supports the work of TKI and provides leadership, networks, and strategic governance. Each board member has a specific project they manage, i.e., finance, public relations, human resources. Te Ao Maori is at the forefront of our board. The Board-Director relationship is a partnership and the appropriate involvement of the Board is critical. The board meets once a month and manages their own tasks outside of that.Qualifications & experienceProfessional experience with leadership accomplishments in business, government, funding, or the nonprofit sector.A commitment to and understanding of TKI's rangatahi community and Te Ao Maori.A commitment to/passion for Mindfulness/positive mental training skills.Diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships.Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, openness, and a passion for improving the lives of our rangatahi.Experience in financial management, accounting, or related fields, with an understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.Tasks & responsibilitiesSupport the development of the organisation.Help to secure funds.Financial planning and budgeting.Form business strategies.Strong connections with Maori Communities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
