About the role
Join us as our Board Administrator and Governance Specialist. In this pivotal role, you'll provide essential administrative support to the Head of Legal & Governance, the Chair, and Directors/Trustees, ensuring smooth operations for our Board and subsidiaries. You'll also assist Management Committees, facilitating effective governance across the organization.
As the primary point of contact, you will coordinate meetings and manage schedules while providing vital administrative support. You will also oversee key compliance dates and assist in developing and implementing governance policies and procedures, as well as facilitating training sessions on governance best practices.
About you:
Experience in company secretarial administration and providing secretary services to Management Committees
Expertise in accurately recording Management Committee minutes, including key decisions and action items
Familiarity with Board and Board Committee constitutional requirements and Director roles
Proven experience in developing and maintaining governance documents, policies and verification matrices to meet project requirements
Experience in financial services and understanding of the regulatory environment
Knowledge of filing requirements and procedures with relevant New Zealand regulators
High level of professionalism and confidentiality, with a focus on quality and excellence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong experience in reviewing and proofreading communications, with the ability to work under pressure
Project management experience with strong planning and prioritization abilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Tertiary education in secretarial or business management (preferred)
Governance NZ Qualification (preferred).
