An initial offer of remuneration will be made within the range $78,570 - $82,935.

Our dynamic and energetic biosecurity and biodiversity team plays a key role in delivering Environment Southland's vision for a thriving Southland. Our animal pest control programmes reach over 2,500 people a year and are spread out across the region; we need your help to maintain these programmes into the future.
Responsibilities The successful applicant will have:
A practical knowledge of commonly used pest plants control and monitoring methods and the ability both to apply them and to promote them to other users.
The ability to communicate effectively with both individual land-owners and community-based groups.
Knowledge of native flora and fauna and ecological restoration in terrestrial ecosystems would be an advantage, as would a qualification in an appropriate discipline.
