We live by our REAL values – Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude, Leadership – and we demonstrate these through the good work we do, every day, as one team.Nau mai haere mai ki ta matou whanau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan FamilyAs the Bid Manager & Writer, you will be responsible for successfully leading the team to deliver positive tender outcomes for the Bay of Plenty region and help win work by selling the Fulton Hogan story.You will be involved in the end-to-end tender process, from invitation to tender to contract award, ensuring that all bids meet the client's minimum requirements of tendering and that submissions are carried out in accordance with the appropriate company processes.Our values will drive everything you do.Key Responsibilities:Manage production and submission of non-price attributes in line with brand guidelines and client requirements.Compile writing plans for submissions that reflect the key client objectives as outlined in the information for tenders, including allocation of responsibilities.Develop key messaging and content that enhances the reader's experience and understanding of our offer.Work with tender teams and subject matter experts to gather information.Research internally and externally to develop appropriate strategies and responses.Ensure technical information is factual, and commercial and legal requirements are met.Meet review and submission deadlines.Conduct administration, measurement and reporting on bid activities.Contribute to any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested.Good Work equals Good BenefitsMedical insurance for you and your whanau. Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.Qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in civil engineering.Thorough understanding of the construction industry.The ability to think intuitively and is a versatile content creator with a proven track record in developing compelling tender submissions.The ability to grasp both the detail and the wider context, to weave together strategy, technical and commercial elements to create compelling content.The ability to lead diverse teams through the bid process and optimise their contributions.The ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders.Detail orientated – whether editing documents or spotting inconsistencies and issues.The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Desktop publishing exposure or experience with Adobe InDesign CS publishing programme, competent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe packages.Community EngagementOur people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
