INTEC Energy is a leader in renewable energy solutions, specialising in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of solar power projects. With a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality solar energy systems that meet the growing demand for clean energy.We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bid Manager to join our team based in our Christchurch Head office. The Bid Manager will lead the end-to-end bid process for our projects across New Zealand and Australia, ensuring competitive, high-quality submissions through effective project management, collaboration, and stakeholder communication.Your duties will include, but are not limited to:Review tender documents to fully understand customer requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure all aspects of the bid are addressed early in the process.Lead the creation of high-quality, well-structured tender responses, ensuring alignment with customer needs, clarity, accuracy, and timely submission.Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and finance teams to develop cost estimates, pricing models, and value engineering solutions that meet project requirements and optimize profit margins.Manage the sourcing and evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and that all materials and services meet project specifications.Identify and mitigate risks in the bid process, ensuring that all legal, regulatory, and technical requirements are met for the bid submission, while maintaining compliance.Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners, leading bid review meetings to ensure proposals are aligned with both customer expectations and company goals.Qualifications and experience:Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or significant experience in civil construction, particularly with horizontal infrastructure projects.Proven track record of developing compelling tender submissions and managing bids throughout their lifecycle, including cost estimation, proposal creation, and final submission.Strong project management background with the ability to manage complex processes, solve problems, and adapt to fast-paced, evolving environments.Solid understanding of financials, business strategy, and the commercial aspects of bidding, with the ability to manage pricing strategies and assess value engineering solutions.Experience working with diverse teams through the bid process, optimising team contributions, and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners.Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to challenge conventional thinking, build strong relationships with clients, and align bid strategies with both business and client needs.We are looking for a candidate with a positive, proactive, and self-motivated attitude, who takes ownership of their work and demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility.
