Focused on sustainability and biculturalism, we have worked on some of the country's most iconic designs, collaborating on projects such as B201 - the University of Auckland's award-winning home for the faculties of Education and Social Work, Arts, Creative Arts and Industries, 61 Molesworth – A grade commercial office in the heart of Wellington, Totara Haumaru – New Zealand's newest hospital in Auckland, George Street – the revitalisation of Dunedin's retail quarter, the Auckland War Memorial Museum and more.The opportunityWe have a unique opportunity for an experienced Bid Lead to join our tight-knit, driven Business Development Team, who collectively support the practice by managing key accounts and leading strategic pursuits, as well as bid management and production. This pivotal role focuses on leading our 'must win' bids, requiring you to drive the bid strategy and ensure our point of difference is clear, while managing an efficient, end-to-end bid process. This includes coordinating inputs from a wide range of executives, technical experts, partners and stakeholders to develop well written, client focused content. This will ultimately result in the production of consistently high quality, winnable proposals. The role will suit a motivated and energetic self-starter, who enjoys both being part of a team and at times working autonomously. You will bring new ideas to help the Business Development Team harness innovation and new technologies, as we continually improve our processes and enhance efficiency.Key responsibilitiesBid strategy – working with Jasmax Principals to clarify client needs, focus on value propositions and benefits, determine how to make Jasmax stand outBid management – manage an efficient, effective bid process to meet all deadlines, including appropriate reviewsBid writing – work with technical staff and partners to produce high quality, client-centric written content, promote the Jasmax brand and valuesCommercial insight – participate in bid commercial discussions, contribute insightful advice and ideasClient presentations – ensure bid presentations are of a high standard, on brand and aligned to our wider strategy. Help prepare and coach technical teams before they meet our clientsBid feedback - analysing previous bid performance to refine future submissions and increase success ratesAttributes, skills and experience we are looking for7+ years relevant experience in a similar Business Development role, with a focus on bid management, strategy, writing and productionStrong project management skills – ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyPreferable - good knowledge of key players in the construction sector (specifically architecture / urban and landscape design / interiors; engineering and development partners)Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (including Office and Teams).
