Client Advisor - Private Wealth & International Tax /Business Services / China Desk Our client is an established mid-sized accounting firm based in a prime Auckland CBD location. The firm has long and successful history in the mid-market segment of the CA sector in New Zealand and, through its international association, a growing overseas presence. Due to current team dynamics and a new line of services being established in the firm, the opportunity has arisen for a technically well-rounded business services and tax accountant to join our client's team in Auckland. As a client adviser with dual responsibilities, you will work across the Private Wealth team and the newly established China Desk in the firm. Dual role 1. China Desk The purpose of this part of role is to assist with the development of our client's China Desk. This new service line will aim to connect the firm's Chinese clients with business opportunities in New Zealand. At the same time, the team will work on supporting NZ clients seeking to expand into the Chinese market. The successful candidate will be responsible for connecting clients with the appropriate contacts within our client's national and international network. You will be responsible for delegating tasks to the most suitable team members to ensure that all aspects of the client's accounting needs are met efficiently and in a timely manner. 2. Private Wealth & International Tax The second major aspect of this role relates to working as part of the Private Wealth & International Tax Team. In this capacity, you will work on a range of complex accounting assignments involving FIF transactions, international tax and preparation of year-end financial statements for a range of entities, including individuals, companies, trusts, investment funds and others. On the tax side, you will be exposed to complex client engagements related to tax residency, among other projects. We are looking for a CA/CPA qualified or nearly qualified professional with experience in the above-mentioned technical areas. A minimum of 3-4 years current or recent NZ CA experience is essential for this role. Ideally, we are looking for a bilingual (English/Mandarin) speaking professional with good command of both languages.
