We are looking for an experienced and passionate Barista to join our clients thriving café in Sanson . The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for coffee, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and create a welcoming atmosphere for our loyal customers. Key Responsibilities: Coffee and Beverage Preparation: Expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, and specialty drinks to the highest standard. Ensure consistency in coffee quality by properly calibrating machines and adjusting grind levels as necessary. Understand and apply proper milk frothing techniques, achieving the perfect texture and temperature for each drink. Maintain thorough knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and machine operations. Café Operations: Support the café team with food preparation, serving baked goods, sandwiches, and other menu items as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, including the coffee station, counters, and dining area. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations by following proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures, including machine maintenance. Handle cash transactions accurately, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently. Teamwork and Collaboration: Work closely with other café staff, contributing to a collaborative and fun work environment. Adapt to shift changes and varying workloads, assisting wherever needed during peak hours. Key Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a barista , with at least 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of espresso machines , grinders, and brewing techniques, with the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks during busy periods. Attention to detail , ensuring every cup of coffee meets the café's high-quality standards. Flexibility to work on weekends, public holidays, and during early mornings or late afternoons as required. Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to contribute to a team-focused environment.
