The Lamb Working Men's Club is a CIU affiliated Club, currently operating 7 days a week and located in the village of Barrowford. The Management Committee are seeking to recruit a successor to work a minimum of 25 hours per week. Full time will be considered. Rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.
The Club offers Members, Bar Facilities, Entertainment, Snooker, and Functions such as Birthday Parties and Funeral Wakes. The Club has good support from Members and welcomes new ideas and initiatives. The successful candidate must have good organisational skills, be able to work on their own when required, be a good team player and able to motivate staff. This position requires the successful candidate to hold or, be in a position to apply for, a Personal Licence.
Key Responsibilities
To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the club, ensuring excellence in customer service with a focus on opportunities for growth.
To see that the club premises are opened and closed securely and that the registered hours for the supply of intoxicants are strictly observed.
To ensure that persons not entitled to be on the club's premises are asked to leave and that persons who are not entitled to be supplied with intoxicating liquor are not served.
Stock control and ordering, as well as budgeting and maintaining turnover.
To keep a record of all goods received and entered in the "Goods Received" Book for checking with invoices.
Daily cash check and weekly cash reconciliation.
Weekly line cleaning.
Work with the committee to develop and implement changes to promote the club and allow the business to grow.
Serve customers as a member of the bar staff as required.
Management of bar and cleaning staff, including recruitment, training, and rotas.
Ensure all relevant staff are fully trained and proficient in their duties, taking full account of employment, environmental, and health and safety legislation.
Manage and coordinate all private functions.
Attend monthly club committee meetings to present updates on operations/progress, ideas, and solutions.
Manage general maintenance of the club facilities.
Perform any other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the club's bar operation.
