Position Available: Bar Licensed Manager

Payrate: $30 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40
This is a full-time permanent position.
Requirements:
3 years relevant experience in Retail, Service, Management, Accounting, Business, or Customer Services irrespective of the industry you have worked in
or
Level 4 relevant qualifications in Management, Arts, B Com, Economics, Business, or Retail required.
AND
Must have a valid Duty Manager Liquor Licence of New Zealand.
Be physically fit.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented.
Duties:
Ensure that all licences necessary for the operation of the bar are kept certified and up to date.
Be in charge of renewing a licence once it has lapsed.
Motivate and inspire the team to deliver the best possible service to customers.
Deliver great customer service while maintaining excellent business practices.
Resolve conflicts while keeping staff safe from injury and harassment.
Mediating arguments between staff and coming up with fair solutions.
Maintain the bar's atmosphere, including lighting, furniture, decorations, and music.
Restrict access of certain customers as necessary.
Ensure stock levels remain consistent for planning high and low demand periods.
Negotiate with suppliers to get the best possible deal for the bar.
Ensure regular inventory checks to prevent shrinkage due to damage, clerical errors, or theft.
Use the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory levels and keep records updated in real time.
Attend frequent meetings with Bar Owners.
Source and train staff to fit the bar's needs.
Schedule staff efficiently to cover customer demands.
Communicate with vendors to assure the appropriate amount of products are on hand.
Resolve all staff conflicts swiftly and properly.
Ensure all transactions and banking are conducted with no variance.
Work shifts required to meet the needs of the bar, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Engage with customers during busy nights to enhance their experience.
Monitor the Gaming Floor for improper gameplay.
Supervise and train staff, perform evaluations, and negotiate raises.
Communicate and enforce gaming lounge rules with customers.
Resolve customer questions and complaints.
Ensure employees act ethically when handling money.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize financial risk.
