Job Description Ballantynes Select Ballantynes Select, a premium retail store that opened in Invercargill's CBD in March 2024, ranges a carefully curated selection of fashion, accessories and gifting from our flagship Christchurch store.
Both local and international brands are stocked such as RM Williams; the Trelise Cooper suite of brands; Superdry and Saben with new brands featured frequently.
Opportunity Available Ballantynes are seeking a Supervisor for our Ballantynes Select Store.
The Supervisor will play an active role driving sales instore and providing excellent customer service while assisting the Store Manager with operational and team requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Generating sales through welcoming service and expert knowledge Creating exceptional Customer Experiences Assisting with the day-to-day operational activities required within the department Where required, assist the Team Leader with budgeting, reporting, stock management and Team training.
Leading the Team in Team Leaders absence Undertaking formal 1:1s with staff As well as being a retail superstar, you will be expected to run the store and lead the team 2 days a week when the Store Manager is on RDOs or on leave and support the Store Manager on all other days.
Therefore, you will ideally be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing and motivating a team.
You will need strong communication skills, the ability to problem solve and the confidence to solve the trickiest customer query with diplomacy.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure and always presenting a professional front.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 32.5 hours per week Sunday to Thursday .
