BAKERY MANAGER– PERMANENT FULL TIME
We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Bakery Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. Days are negotiable but will include a weekend day.
Daily Tasks Involved in the role:
Creating and overseeing the production list to create a full range of high-quality bakery products baked daily.
Overseeing the training of all team members, including signing off on bakery apprentice workbooks.
Ordering and maintaining all essential bakery needs for the creation and display of goods.
Implementing and ensuring food safety and health & safety standards are met.
Delivering exceptional customer service.
Ensuring all products are merchandised to a high standard.
Ensuring all bakery equipment is operated and maintained correctly and training team members to operate safely.
Leading positive and supportive working relationships within the bakery team and the wider New World Kaikoura team.
The person/people we are looking for will have the following attributes:
2 years' experience as a baker plus equivalent to NZ Certificate in Baking.
Excellent communication skills to lead the team.
Must be able to show initiative.
Must be honest and reliable.
Must be physically fit as they will be on their feet all day.
Have a good sense of humour!
Must have a positive approach to their day and a 'can-do' attitude.
Have a passion for giving excellent customer service and going the extra mile for our customers.
Must enjoy early starts.
Must have great presentation skills and attention to detail.
Please note: Our busiest times are long weekends/public holidays and summer holidays.
