Join us at one of our prestigious independent schools as a Baker and help create meals that inspire our students.We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Baker with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.Nestled in the heart of Harewood Leeds, this prestigious independent school operates 5 days a week.This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Baker to make a name for themselves within our contract catering company and be a part of setting the new standard for education catering.Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be friendly, devoted, curious, and have a strong passion for food with a particular interest in baking and pastry. We are looking for individuals who are confident they will become an integral member of a team that values hard work and brings detail and care to every part of their work day.Follow recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management.Set up station according to established expectations.Execute production from start to finish, including the production and management of all in-house baked items and pastry production.Work collaboratively with BOH staff and FOH staff.Maintain cleanliness of all BOH work areas, including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas.Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas.Follow set schedule and give appropriate notification for tardiness and absence.Conform to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen.QualificationsGeneral knife handling, food safety & sanitation knowledge.Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.High volume restaurant or bakery experience preferred.Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve.Able to follow recipes without direct supervision.Strong time management skills and able to execute dishes consistently and effectively.Full availability.Additional InformationHolroyd Howe is one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges.
