Baker

Champion Bakery & Cafe in Wellsford offers wide range of selection for breakfast and lunches. We currently look for a hardworking and reliable Baker to join our team. Working hours is from 30 to 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $31 to $32 per hour.
Suitable candidates must have the following skills and attributes:

 Have a relevant Level 4 qualification or at least 3 years relevant work experience.
 Able to start at 4.30am and available to work on weekends and public holidays.
 Physically fit for heavy liftings and tasks that requires physical strength.
 Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.
 Can work well with others in a fast-paced environment.

Your duties will include:

 Check the cleanliness of food preparation area and baking equipment.
 Check oven and baking equipment to ensure everything works well.
 Check the quality of raw material, weight and measure ingredients.
 Knead, mature, cut, mould and shape dough or pastry for baking.
 Bake a wide variety of items (bread, rolls, pies, muffins, cookies, pastries, donuts etc.)
 Prepare pastry fillings, sauces, cream, icing.
 Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking time.
 Glaze buns and pastries, decorate baked goods with cream and icing.
 Create new recipes for seasonal menus.
 Perform any other related duties as required.
