We are looking for an Automotive Technician who will work Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at our Mercedes-Benz workshop in Mount Maunganui. As an automotive technician, you are, above all, responsible for performing all kinds of service operations (inspections), defined assembly operations, and maintenance repairs to customer and company vehicles with the highest level of quality and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensure that all servicing and repairs follow specifications and standards.
Support and contribute to the effective operations of the workshop.
Utilise skills and knowledge to diagnose problems with a range of vehicles.
Engines rebuild and overhauling.
Gearboxes rebuild and overhauling.
Electrical and ECU fault finding and repairs.
High-performance Braking system upgrades and maintenance (Inc. Carbon Ceramic).
Assist with apprentice training and teaching of skills.
Customer/Client relations building.
Skills & Experience:
A current clean full Driver's Licence.
New Zealand National Certificate in Automotive Electrical and Mechanical Engineering certified or relevant International Automotive Motor Mechanic Qualifications.
Minimum 3 years experience as an automotive technician.
Franchise experience working with Mercedes-Benz motor vehicles is advantageous.
Experience in fault/diagnostic findings.
WOF Certification will be to your advantage however, not necessary.
Friendly communicator with good English language skills and high personal integrity.
