We are looking for 3 Automotive Electricians. This job is required to perform duties and responsibilities that include, but are not limited to the following:
Ø Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions in vehicles using specialised testing equipment.
Ø Install, repair, and maintain car reversing cameras, ensuring correct wiring and functionality.
Ø Install and troubleshoot car stereo systems, including head units, speakers, and subwoofers.
Ø Set up and calibrate in-vehicle monitors and screens for optimal viewing and integration with other vehicle systems.
Ø Install and configure car amplifiers to enhance audio quality, including ensuring proper power and ground connections.
Ø Integrate multimedia systems, including Bluetooth, GPS, and other car entertainment systems, into vehicle electrical systems.
Ø Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicle audio and video systems.
Ø Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
Ø Repair or replace faulty wiring, alternators, starter motors, and other electrical components.
Ø Calibrate and test electronic systems, including entertainment and camera systems, to ensure proper operation.
Ø Work with other automotive technicians to coordinate repairs and ensure vehicles are returned to service in a timely manner.
Ø Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry standards, particularly in the field of automotive electronics and multimedia systems.
Ø Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
l A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification or above
l At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualification requirement
l Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
l Be a team player but also able to work independently
