Join us as an Auto-Electrician in our Christchurch based Workshop!
We are looking for an experienced and fully qualified Auto-Electrician to join the Christchurch team within our existing workshop.
We have a comprehensive heavy vehicle workshop at our Hornby yard which provides mechanical services for our plant and equipment.
We also have onsite WOF testing, onsite Auto electrical, and an onsite paint shop that create the "One-stop-shop" for all vehicle repairs.In addition to the above you will: Be responsible for repairs and maintenance on various plant, equipment, and trucks/trailers Complete wiring of new lighting packages, beacons, recording cameras and RT's on new buildsCarry out general auto electrical maintenance on existing vehicles, such as; diagnosing and repairing faults, checking charging systems, upgrading lighting packages, etc.Ensure high risk situations for mechanics and auto electricians can be identified without error.Good Work equals Good Benefits Medical insurance for you and your whanau.

We're looking for someone with: National Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering (Level 4) or International Qualification with NZQA equivalencyA commitment to doing a quality job safelyA good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systemsExperience in repairing heavy plant and contracting equipmentA proactive approach to plant maintenanceThe ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervisionAppropriate licences for heavy trucks, construction equipment and forkliftA positive attitude and friendly mannerCreating, Connecting and caring for the community Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
