Put simply, sustainability is what we do.Job DescriptionOur Auto Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, identifying faults and repair of electrical components and computer-based equipment in motor vehicles and related equipment. Working alongside and with our diesel mechanic you will be responsible forServicing, identifying and repairing faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as (but not limited to) electronic fuel injection, anti-lock braking, warning systems, automatic transmissions, airbags, lighting systems, and air and hydraulic systems.Daily checks of all Vehicle Workshop tooling and equipment for serviceability and accountabilityLiaise with Operations Supervisors for availability of vehicles for maintenance. Ensure vehicle and unit servicing is conducted in accordance with the company Preventative Maintenance Programme.Maintain job processing on the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).QualificationsAbility to work both autonomously and as part of a teamNational Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering – Level 4.Current NZ Class 4 Drivers license and Forklift licenseSignificant experience in maintenance of heavy road vehicles.Significant experience in vehicle electrical component fault diagnosis and trouble shooting.Experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Experience with hydraulic systems would be advantageousAdditional InformationWM New Zealand is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and promotes drug and alcohol-free workplaces.What we offer:Permanent, full-time roleLocation: CromwellGuaranteed minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday 7:00am – 9:00pm (Days and hours by agreement)Ongoing training and developmentA great company culture where you will work with a strong team of likeminded individuals
