Working in Audit allows you to get straight to the heart of business issues, plus you get the chance to offer proactive advice tailored to each individual business and build strong client relationships along the way.Day to day you will:Assist managers in the performance of audit assignments as an in-charge.
The work may involve complex technical issues , statutory audits, internal audits, investigation and acquisition reports of an audit nature, limited reviews, proposals and special reports, and other accounting services.Assist in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for review.Produce work for the Manager or Partner review clearly highlighting issues and providing potential solutions to issues identified.Respond to client queries and attend client meetings.Identify business and audit risks.Assess effectiveness of client processes and controls.Undertake work across a mixture of medium to higher risk audit areas and perform non-routine audit functions.Day to day coaching of junior team members.Ensure effective use and application of KPMG Audit Manual/Methodology, auditing standards, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).What you'll bring to our team:A minimum two years of relevant practical audit experience in an Audit Firm.A degree in relevant subjects, , Accounting, Finance, or Economics which meet CAANZ requirements.You may be a provisional member of a relevant professional body, , Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA).Experience with KPMG auditing software, specifically KPMG Clara is preferred.Be technically proficient across audit and audit related services.Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.Professional approach to work and strong client focus.Recruitment Agencies: The recruitment for this role is being managed directly by the KPMG Talent Acquisition team.
