CAPS Hauraki (child abuse prevention services) multidisciplinary team works together to make a difference in the lives of families within our local communities.
This role will work as a part of the team to identify barriers and support solutions that enable all learners to attend school regularly.
On a daily basis, the Attendance Services Advisor will work alongside schools, students, and their whanau to encourage regular school attendance.
Core skills required for this role: The ability to inspire and motivate young people to succeed Ability to walk alongside whanau to identify barriers, problem-solve solutions, and support access to resources/information that enables learners to return to and remain in education Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to run workshops and organise small events Experience in managing a caseload and/or excellent organisational skills Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders Able to demonstrate initiative, good judgement, and flexibility Computer competency (email, word, excel) Full New Zealand Drivers License (essential) A good sense of humour and commitment to being part of a team This position is classed as a Core Worker and will need to pass a safety check, inclusive of Police Vetting, under the Children's Act 2014 Check out our website to see the range of services you could be part of should you choose to join our dedicated, professional, and fun-loving team.
