Associate - Tax

Job Description
We're a team of tax advisors in our specialist Global Mobility Tax business who work alongside our clients and build long-lasting relationships that create value. As a graduate/Associate in our Global Mobility Tax team in Auckland or Wellington, you will specialise in providing global companies with tax advice and assistance with managing their cross-border and remote-working employees. Here you will:
Advising global organisations on their employer tax obligations in respect of cross-border employees.
Proactively managing client engagements under the guidance and support of experienced senior staff members within our specialist team.
Undertake tax consultations with employees to discuss the NZ tax implications of their assignment or remote working arrangement.
Completion of individual tax returns, provisional tax calculations, shadow payrolls, and FBT returns.
Providing advice on employer share plan reporting obligations.
Research and application of tax legislation.
Liaising with Inland Revenue as required.
Working with leading digital tools to drive new efficiencies in our processes.
Working with overseas offices within the Vialto Partners network to deliver services in respect to New Zealand tax obligations.
Qualifications
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance (or similar)
Minimum Years of Experience: 0-2 years of experience in providing Global Mobility, Individual and Employer Tax obligations
Location: Auckland, New Zealand (Hybrid)
