We're looking for an Associate or Senior Associate (5+ years PQE) to join our Auckland office.The Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work with well-respected partners that lead our Banking and Finance team. We have national and international reach with exposure to a varied range of work and a diversity of clients. The role is suitable for an experienced lawyer with a background in general banking and/or restructuring and insolvency gained from another law firm.The role includes:Advising a number of bank and non-bank lenders on corporate and property finance transactions;Advising clients on restructuring and insolvency matters;Managing end-to-end transactions to effectively and efficiently deliver on client requests; andProviding that safe pair of experienced hands that Partners can rely upon to make things happen.About You:Ideally, you'll have 5+ years' post qualification experience with exposure to corporate law, particularly banking and finance, having built a high level of technical expertise and excellent client service ethos. An interest and experience in the CCCFA would be an advantage. Motivated and driven, you'll thrive on being able to work hard and smart, delivering work effectively – both autonomously and through utilising the team. You'll apply critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills to review information at hand, think of alternative solutions and evaluate the best approaches to reach a resolution.
