Our customer relationship is typically a part of global relationship network originated in Japan. We provide our services to our customers not only to achieve their business goals in domestic markets but also to help integrate in their global growth.In this role, you'll actively manage and pursue relationships with Japanese corporate clients for strategic benefit and revenue growth purposes within the Auckland Branch. You'll apply principle focus to account and revenue generation, risk management, and will actively lead structuring transactions. You'll also back up the support team maintaining strong credit portfolio management.You will join our team in a 13 month parental leave cover to commence in November 2024.What you'll be doing:Business PromotionAnalyse client needs and proactively promote MUFG products and servicesDevelop and implement an account plan for each clientArrange client co-visits with Product Managers and/or supporting departmentRelationship ManagementUnderstand the client's businesses, products, strengths, weaknesses, market position, business flow and settlementsLead communications with clients around transaction execution, documentation, KYC and day-to-day transactional requirementsProactive communications with the clients around financial reporting and industry Q&A to support providing information to Analysts to prepare strong credit analysisMonitor the business progress and financial status of the clientRespond quickly and accurately to customer demands and requestsMake customer visit schedules actively, client entertainment, and record/log customer visitsMake and report necessary memoranda relating to business development and new facilitiesCommunication & DocumentationCommunicate and negotiate with customers, Primary Office, PO and Credit Division regarding the terms and conditions of pipeline transactionsContact legal firms and/or legal department within the Bank, and make and check legal documents according to the terms and conditions under the credit approvalDevelop strong networks within JCIB Oceania & APACWork closely to help foster a pro-active and inclusive team spirit within JCIB CBD AucklandEducate, train and share customer information with AnalystsLiaise with Analysts to manage timely reporting and application approvalsBe trained in Analysts duties to be able to provide support in times of high volume or business compromised environments or high absenteeismBuild a strong relationship with client head office teams in JapanBuild trust with Credit Division through accurate and concise communicationCommunicate with regional & planning functions on various deal screening requirementsCredit & Operations StakeholdersMaintain strong relationships and communication channels with key stakeholders in Sydney across departments such as CMO, Operations, Global Markets, Settlements, Legal etc.What we are looking for:This is a fantastic opportunity for an analyst looking to move into a relationship manager role. As the successful candidate, you'll have 3–4 years' experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Chartered Accounting. Excellent client engagement and negotiation skills are a must.You're a self-starter, willing to get involved, and able to work under your own initiative to deliver fit for purpose and customer centric outcomes. You're highly organised, able to multitask and work autonomously and proactively.
