DEPARTMENT OF WOMEN'S AND CHILDREN'S HEALTH - TE TARI HAUORA WAHINE ME TE TAMARIKI DUNEDIN SCHOOL OF MEDICINE - TE KURA WHAIORA A OTEPOTIAbout our team/Mo te timaThe Section is one of three departments/sections in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the University of Otago, the other two being in Christchurch and Wellington. Our reputation in clinical practice attracts referrals from around the South Island of New Zealand, and provides an excellent base for teaching in obstetrics, gynaecology and women's health. Our major teaching responsibility is the MB ChB course. We have a comprehensive registrar training programme directed towards specialist qualifications. We also convene the Postgraduate Diploma of Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology, and Certificate in Women's Health, which are particularly suitable for GPs, midwives and other primary care practitioners. Our lecturers also contribute to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Pharmacy, and Midwifery Degree.Positions Available:2nd Year Fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) - Genea SydneyPosition Overview: As a 2nd Year CREI Fellow at Genea Sydney, you will contribute to our clinical and research activities in reproductive medicine while completing your subspecialty training. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and learn from industry leaders in fertility treatment.Key Responsibilities:Participate in clinical duties, including patient consultations and fertility treatmentsContribute to ongoing research projects under senior supervisionAssist in complex endoscopic surgeriesAttend and actively participate in hospital meetings and educational lecturesProvide senior registrar cover in obstetrics and gynaecology, including out-of-hours servicesEngage in continuous quality improvement activitiesSenior Registrar in Gynaecology - OGB SurfcoastPosition Overview: OGB Surfcoast provides over 2500 Gynaecology procedures for our patients per year in a group practice setting, with a significant number of procedures being performed through the public system. This position provides the Trainee with the opportunity to work in an environment which provides intensive and consistent training in the areas of complex laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, complex site-specific pelvic floor surgery and Gynaecological ultrasound encompassing assessment and diagnosis of endometriosis.Key Responsibilities:Work in an environment providing intensive training in complex laparoscopic surgeryDevelop valuable skills in infertility management and Assisted ReproductionGain experience and direct teaching regarding the business perspectives of working in private practice
